🗣️ Reported Speech: Як пліткувати грамотно! 

Уявіть, що ви справжній майстер пліток! 🤭 Вам розповіли секрет, і тепер ви передаєте його далі… але робите це культурно – без дослівних цитат.

Ось тут і допоможе Reported Speech (непряма мова).

🔹 Як це працює?

Пряма мова (Direct Speech):
🗨️ "I get on well with Liza," Tom said.

Непряма мова (Reported Speech):
📢 Tom said (that) he got on well with Liza.

❗ Що змінилося?
1️⃣ Прибираємо лапки
2️⃣ Зсуваємо час назад (tense shift)
3️⃣ Змінюємо займенники (та за необхідності часові слова)

💡 Чому час зміщується?
Бо це вже сталося, ми передаємо інформацію з минулого!

🔹 Зсув часів (Tense shift):

📌 Present Simple → Past Simple
"I like ice cream." → She said she liked ice cream.

📌 Present Continuous → Past Continuous
"I am watching a movie." → He said he was watching a movie.

📌 Past Simple → Past Perfect
"I bought a car." → She said she had bought a car.

📌 Present Perfect → Past Perfect
"I have finished my work." → He said he had finished his work.

📌 Future Simple (will) → Would
"I will call you." → He said he would call me.

📌 Future Continuous (will be + V-ing) → Would be + V-ing
"I will be working at 5 PM." → He said he would be working at 5 PM.

📌 Future (going to) → Was/were going to
"I am going to stay at home." → She said she was going to stay at home.

📌 Can → Could
"I can swim fast." → She said she could swim fast.

📌 May → Might
"I may go to the party." → He said he might go to the party.

🔹 Tell vs Say

🟢 Say – просто передаємо слова (без вказівки, кому саме ми це кажемо).
📌 He said (that) he was tired.
❌ He said me (так не можна!)

🟢 Tell – потрібно сказати, кому це розповідають.
📌 He told me (that) he was tired.

🔹 Як змінюються запитання?

🔹 Yes/No запитання → if/whether
📌 "Do you want to go with me?" → He asked (me) if I wanted to go with him.

 📌 "Are you going to buy a new car?" → They asked (me) if I was going to buy a new car.

🔹 Wh-questions → без do/does/did
📌 "Where do you live?" → He asked where I lived.

 📌 "When did he come back?" → I asked when he had come back.

🔹 Коли час НЕ змінюється?

Якщо цитата містить загальну правду або факт:
📌 "My job is boring," Paul said. → Paul said (that) his job is boring.

 📌 "Seasons in Ukraine are beautiful," all tourists who visited Ukraine said. → All tourists who visited Ukraine said (that) seasons in Ukraine are beautiful.

🔹 Зміна часових слів:

📌 "I met him yesterday." → She said she had met him the day before.
